This page is dedicated to my Great Grandfather Francis Marrion King.
He was a blacksmith near the turn of the century (1900-1910), in the town or Topeka, Kansas.

I never knew about blacksmithing until my grandfather, John F. King passed away and left me his father's Blacksmith's Measuring Wheel.  In the town of Fall River Mills is Fort Crook Museum.  They have Blacksmith classes in the winter.  I learned how to bend and weld metal, using antique forges and tools.  I have purchased a buffalo forge and an anvil.  I am now, at an apprentice level of learning, making my own tools.  I will post pictures and ideas on this page.  If you want to see something or have any questions just email me.  I will contact you and or post whatever you like.
